A confrontation between Blue and White and the Likud led to the cancellation of the cabinet meeting

A confrontation between Blue and White and the Likud led to the cancellation of the cabinet meeting scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday), and tonight there were further contacts between the parties in an attempt to hold it. In blue and white, they said that the controversy arose around their demand to bring to a vote the government regulations that were formulated with the Likud and that regulate the balance of power between Netanyahu and Ganz. The current regulations have not been updated since the prime minister's previous tenure, and he is given extensive powers - including resolving disputes between ministers, deciding to convene government meetings that are not in the usual procedure and raising issues to discuss them. Due to a dispute over the topics of the meeting, the agenda was not published 48 hours before it took place.
According to sources in blue and white, the party insists on raising the bylaws tomorrow in order to block the possibility that Netanyahu will try to promote an outline for an annual budget. Coalition sources told Haaretz that progress has not yet been made in the budget crisis, which could lead to the dissolution of the Knesset on August 25 and another round of elections. The replacement prime minister and blue-and-white chairman, Bnei Gantz, made it clear tonight that he does not intend to compromise on the issue, adding: "I understand the hatred towards Netanyahu, I understand the disappointment from me."
