BRICKSTONE Reports 16% Surge in Safe Deposit Box Rentals by Israelis Living in Western Europe
Posted on Oct 16, 2026 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

BRICKSTONE, a company operating three private, high-security safe deposit facilities in Israel, has reported an approximately 16% increase over the past month in safe deposit box rentals by Israelis living in France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium.
The company attributes the increase to growing concerns over antisemitism across Western Europe, with some Israelis living abroad seeking to secure valuables, important documents and personal collections in Israel.
Dvir Indig, CEO of BRICKSTONE, said that many Israelis who rented safe deposit boxes had transferred valuable possessions to Israel as a precautionary measure.
“Most Israelis living in Western European countries who rented safe deposit boxes did so to secure valuables, collections, documents and certificates, jewelry and cash,” Indig said.
According to the company, conversations with customers who rented boxes from abroad indicated that some were considering returning to Israel in response to the recent wave of antisemitism. Transferring their valuables to a secure facility in Israel was described as an initial step.
The reported increase reflects a shift in precautionary behavior among some Israelis living overseas. However, the company did not provide the underlying rental figures or independent data establishing the extent to which antisemitism was responsible for the increase.
BRICKSTONE Operates Three Secure Facilities in Israel
BRICKSTONE currently operates three private, secured safe deposit facilities in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The company says its facilities offer a total of approximately 7,500 safe deposit boxes and operate under stringent security and confidentiality procedures.
First Fully Automated Robotic Safe Deposit Facility
Approximately two months ago, BRICKSTONE opened what it describes as Israel's first fully automated safe deposit facility, and the first of its kind in the Middle East.
Known as BRICKSTONE 3, the facility uses robotic technology to transport safe deposit boxes without direct human handling during the retrieval process.
Customers can access their boxes using a personal access card, fingerprint identification and a personal code. A robotic system transports the box to a private, discreet room, where the customer can access its contents. The system subsequently returns the box to secure storage.
The company presents the automated facility as an additional layer of privacy and security for customers seeking to store valuable possessions and sensitive documents.
BRICKSTONE's reported increase in rentals comes amid heightened concern over antisemitism in parts of Western Europe. The extent of the broader trend among Israelis living abroad, however, remains unclear without independent industry-wide figures.
