Bezeq has launched Be Home - the new generation of smart home service. This is an evolution of the smart home service, which Bezeq first launched about five years ago, when it was the first company to launch such a service in Israel. The new service allows you to manage a variety of detectors and smart switches and remotely monitor what is happening in the house. The new service is managed through a smart app that knows how to connect all the detectors and create a reciprocal system between them, so that each can be the trigger that activates the other. This way you can define scenarios and pre-determine actions that will take place automatically, while managing the smart components using an application with a simple interface and in Hebrew.
At the service base, a monthly usage fee of NIS 14.90 per month, in addition to the cost of detectors and switches according to the customer's choice. As part of the service, Bezeq offers for sale a wide selection of detectors and smart electrical switches, among them; Smart camera, air conditioner detector, flood detector, motion detector, door / window detector, shutter switch, heater switch and lighting switch. Bezeq offers the detectors for sale in a convenient spread of 36 payments, with the price range being NIS 9.90 - 14.90 per month.
Ahead of the launch of the service, Bezeq is offering an affordable package at a discount that includes a camera, an air conditioner switch and three security detectors for the customer to choose from (flooding, door and traffic). The package also includes support and installation services by a certified Bezeq technician, who also performs the installation of the application and the definition of the desired scenarios according to the needs of the customer and his home. The price of the package is NIS 54.90, spread over 36 monthly payments. After 3 years, the cost of the service will be only NIS 14.90 per month.
Bezeq first launched the smart home service in 2015. The service then included a camera with motion, humidity and two-way audio sensors, which can be spoken remotely with those in the home. The new generation of the smart home, based on the Be router that serves as the brain of the entire system and allows a greater variety of detectors and switches from the date of service launch to support hundreds of additional detectors and switches in the future.
The launch of the new service joins a series of moves made by Bezeq recently, as part of Bezeq's strategy to strengthen and improve the Internet experience at the customer's home. Initially, Bezeq launched the Be router along with built-in cyber protection, in the second phase, Bezeq launched a series of products, Bspot and Be Mesh, to improve the WIFI coverage in the home. Today the smart home service embedded inside the Be router, makes the home itself digital and smart. The new service is being launched at a stage when about 450,000 of Bezeq's Internet customers have a Be router, which serves as the brain and gateway to digital life at home.
The new service is the result of Bezeq's collaboration with Alarm.com, one of the leading and largest IoT companies in the world. Alarm.com provides services to 6 million households and operates about 100 million connected devices in 42 countries around the world.
Keren Leizerowitz, Bezeq's VP of Marketing and Innovation, "There are many products on the market today under the heading of a smart home, but Bezeq's uniqueness is that we offer a holistic smart home service, which allows control of a variety of detectors in one application. We do not only sell the detectors, we offer the customer an end-to-end service, from installing the components in the customer's home to setting up the application according to his needs. The smart home service was built in full cooperation with the manufacturer Alarm, with the goal in front of our eyes being to produce a simple and easy-to-operate service, based on the use of the most innovative and advanced product that provides the customer with an impressive user experience. The launch of the new service was preceded by a long and in-depth preparation activity, while analyzing the customer's needs and examining the technological capabilities currently available in the market. "A study we conducted prior to the launch of the service shows that every home has over 10 devices connected on average and about 30% of homes in Israel today are already smart."
