1,700 new infections with the corona virus have been registered since yesterday

The Ministry of Health updated on Wednesday that 1,700 new infections with the corona virus have been registered since yesterday. The data also show that there has been an increase in the number of tests, which now number 24,786 units, a total of 4,904 midnight tests. Indeed, the rate of positive carriers in the tests performed also dropped from 7.1% to 5.2%. Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Israel, there have been 76,763 people infected with the virus, including 24,866 active patients. The number of seriously defined patients now stands at 355 people, 104 of whom are respirators, an increase of five people at midnight. To date, 564 people have died from the disease, an increase of two die at midnight. The total number of recoveries is 51,331. In the locality sector, the largest number of carriers in relation to the population is in the locality of Kalenswa, with 1472 active patients per 10,000 people. It is followed by Elad with 113 patients, Kfar Metzar with 108 patients, Modi'in Illit with 107 patients, and Bnei Brak with 102 patients.
