Isracard s launching the ANYPAY service - Payment service via the mobile phone

Isracard reported that it is launching the ANYPAY service - a payment service via the mobile phone, without contact. At this stage, the service will only be available to some of the company's customers, who own a mobile device based on the Android operating system, who hold an Isracard mastercard. Payment will be made in businesses that have already switched to EMV payments. In Israel, there are about 15,000 businesses, but abroad there is a wider spread of businesses and various commercial chains.
This is the first launch in Israel of the possibility of payment in businesses on mobile by a credit card company. Isracard customers will not have to download another new application for the benefit of mobile payment, but will be able to attach their Isracard cards to the ANYPAY service in the "Isracard" application.
The company states that the payment via ANYPAY in the Isracard application is made under strict information security standards. In addition, each transaction is reported to customers via a "push" message, in real time, when customers will be able to track through the app their entire purchase history.
In the first phase, during the coming months ("soft launch"), payment in the app will be possible via Android devices, and later the company will work to allow its customers who hold cards and other devices to enjoy this payment method. For now, the service will be open for non-bank MasterCard cards and some of the bank MasterCard cards.
By November this year, businesses in Israel, whose total clearing turnover in 2019 amounted to more than NIS 100 million or more, will be required to support making "smart" payments in the EMV standard, with massive joining in recent months from businesses that do not meet the said threshold. Already today, Isracard customers can make a one-touch payment without contacting businesses that have already installed the new technology - including the Zara, Delta, Opticana, H&M and other tens of thousands of businesses across the country.
Ron Wexler, CEO of the Isracard Group: "In the days when Israeli citizens are required to socialize, the need for non-contact payments arises. In recent years, this is the direction in which the entire industry is heading, and I am happy that Isracard, as part of fulfilling its vision, will be the pioneer of this technology in Israel. The world of finance is moving towards solutions that will allow consumers to manage their expenses in a convenient and simple way, with immediate feedback on every purchase. Isracard, as the largest credit card group in Israel, is proud to bring these advanced solutions to its customers. "
