Fox Group will gradually close three international brands: Urban Outfitters, Anthropology and Perry People

Posted on Jul 11, 2020 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The Fox Group has announced that it will gradually close its operations to three international brands: Urban Outfitters, Anthropology and Perry People. These are three international chains of the American URBN group, which the group has begun to infiltrate Israel and together number 6 stores.
Fox explained the closure of the activity by saying that after a joint examination and evaluation with the international company, it was decided that the activity was not expected to contribute significantly to the parties' results and that most stores would populate the team's sports brand chains: Pot Locker, Nike and the team's Dream Sport.
This is further evidence of the weakness of the traditional fashion market in Israel in relation to the sports fashion market. While the first crashes the second manages to maintain stability. In addition, the decision to close the business may be due to the fact that they are premium brands in a challenging economic period and in light of the fact that this is not a good time to invest in developing new networks, especially those whose success is questionable.
