About 10 thousand soldiers are required for isolation and 463 are infected with Corona

Posted on Jul 10, 2020 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

About ten thousand soldiers, in duty, permanent service and among IDF employees, are listed this morning as being required for isolation due to exposure to corona patients or the detection of symptoms of the disease. This is the peak of the number of isolates in the army, along with an increase in adhesives. For isolation after being exposed to a Corona patient.
Over the past day, 79 people in Corona were infected. In total, there are 463 infections in the army today.
Against the background of the increase in the number of isolates, the IDF ceased to publish the figure yesterday. However, a large part of the isolates continues to function routinely, in training and in operational activities, as isolated capsules and under medical supervision. These are soldiers, including many fighters, who can train in a departmental, company and even battalion. Without contact with other soldiers throughout the isolation days, even combatants engaged in operational activities and required for isolation can perform their tasks from small and external positions.
Last night, a message was circulated in Wattsap groups that implied that the Medical Corps was reducing the number of tests for soldiers, and no longer conducting re-tests for Corona carriers to see if they had recovered. In practice, it turned out to be part of a corona release policy from isolation at the end of a 30-day period, in a manner that does not require re-examination, with the approval of a physician and on condition that there are no symptoms, as is true in many of the carriers, especially the younger ones.
Despite the increase in carriers, the IDF has not yet renewed its first wave of exits and continues its social remoteness policy, reducing ceremonies and events, and reducing departures home for combat soldiers, with a frequency of one to 21 days.
