HOT will be allowed to offer consumers services and Internet infrastructure

Posted on Jul 6, 2020 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The Ministry of Communications has allowed the cable company to offer consumers services and Internet infrastructure for the company. For the first time, HOT will be able to market packages that include all ISPs for the customer's choice. These are suppliers like Partner, NetVision, Expon and also: HOTnet of HOT, which the company has indirectly marketed to consumers through massive price reductions.
At the same time, it will voluntarily reduce its wholesale market rates on its network by 10% -30% to the ISPs that use its infrastructure, so that competitors can market the infrastructure that has so far been expensive. Marketing of HOT infrastructure is done within the wholesale market reform, which allows all players in the telecommunications market to market packages that include Bezeq or HOT infrastructure.
HOT Marketing a 200 MB package including an ITC internet provider for 90 shekels a month. It is the only ISP that HOT has been allowed to work with in reverse. Bezeq has no similar package and so HOT was the only one on the market with this price.
About a year ago HOT started marketing packages at 500 megabytes. At NIS 129 a month. The other telecommunications companies then argued that HOT was selling the infrastructure at too high a price, so they had trouble marketing the package under the wholesale market reform. The Ministry of Communications hopes the move will bring down prices to the consumer, but not sure that will happen immediately, as HOT sold the package at a low price in the first place.
At the same time, the Ministry of Communications is promoting approval for the IBC fiber optic company to market reverse. The company is not allowed to market an ISP or infrastructure. Other actresses can market her services.
About two weeks ago, the Ministry of Communications canceled the obligation to split the supplier's invoice + infrastructure to Bezeq after a year. For a year the customer would receive one invoice from Flash and a year later receive a separate invoice from Flash and the supplier. Now he will continue to receive only one.
The Ministry of Communications said: "Reducing the rates on the HOT network will enable the expansion of the wholesale market, including at high speeds of 200 mega and 500 mega. Consumer Services Baskets You will be able to market shared service baskets that include broadcast, internet, and telephony services along with a HOT group access provider.
