iAI is about to fire some 900 employees from its aviation division

Israel Aerospace Industry (IAI) Drama: The company is about to fire some 900 employees from its largest division, the aviation division. The division has about 5,000 employees and is facing a very low margin.
The aerospace industry said: "During this time of huge business challenges due to the Corona epidemic, a waistcoat and the manpower structure must be adapted to the new reality, among other things in the aviation world." At the same time, IAI CEO Nimrod Shaffer unexpectedly announced his retirement from the job on Wednesday. Of the 6 percent of sales, however, he leaves while the implications of the Corona crisis on the company's future are still unknown.
His retirement may mark the way for re-election of the company's CEO, Eyal Union, to the position. Union also ran for the job two years ago. In it, he was defined as “Locker’s candidate.” At the same time, company officials today estimated that one of his reasons for his retirement was clashes with Locker over the company’s lead.
