The chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Anat Guetta, has appointed Attorney Sarah Candler to head the Corporate Department. Attorney Candler, who currently serves as senior advisor to the Authority, is expected to replace Dorit Kadosh, who recently announced her retirement. In her most recent role, Attorney Candler led the Chair with the promotion of the Authority's strategy vis-à-vis relevant private and public sector entities, including the establishment of new digital trading platforms, implementation of international standards, including adoption of English reporting and IXBRL, expansion of institutional succession and additional.
In recent years, Attorney Candler has led the legislative processes on the central projects led by the Authority, including: the Authority's relief project, the change of the stock exchange structure, the regulation of the activities of the trades arenas, the prohibition of activities in binary options and the reform of the conversion of ETFs into mutual funds.
Attorney Candler began working in the PA in 2000. Throughout the years, Attorney Kendler has held key management positions, including filling the position of Attorney General in the PA. Attorney Kendler has served as Deputy Attorney General, Director of the Legal Advisory Unit, and a member of the Board of Directors. PA. In addition, Attorney Candler previously served as Deputy Director of the Investment Department.
In addition, Attorney Candler represented the Authority in the activities of various inter-agency teams dealing with innovation and technology in the financial sector (team on Sandbox regulatory program for technology companies, virtual currency team, API technology team and more).
Attorney Candler holds a Bachelor of Law from Bar Ilan University and a Masters of Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
