40 years of US and Israel Biennial Research was invested in 1200 agriculture projects

The US and Israel Biennial Research and Development Fund was established about
40 years ago. Over the years, the fund has invested about $ 315 million in some 1200 agricultural infrastructure studies, leading to a direct and significant impact on agricultural development.
In both countries. Research areas supported by the Foundation include genetic and molecular research in plants, animal genetic research, animal health, quality agricultural produce and quantity,
Plant protection, dealing with pests, soil and water sciences, agricultural engineering
The Bard Foundation is the bi-national Agricultural Research and Development Fund of the United States and Israel, established 40 years ago to encourage and promote collaborative innovative research for scientists from Israel and the United States with the desire to foster breakthrough innovation and advances in research, food production and agricultural development for the benefit of both countries.
Throughout its 40 years of operations, the foundation has invested more than $ 315 million in infrastructure and applied research to promote agriculture in both countries. Each year, the foundation funds $ 7 million worth of infrastructure research and applications between the two countries.
Among her accomplishments during her years are the development of a sweet new tomato variety, extending the mango shelf life, producing more ketchup from tomatoes, producing less cotton in less water, utilizing waste from fish farming and recycling water for further growth, growing basil without chemicals and quite a few achievements.
The academic studies conducted by the BARD Foundation over the years support all stages of agricultural research and development, and include integrated projects and applied strategic research that involve intensive collaboration between Israeli and American scientists and researchers. The studies cover all areas of agriculture.
