Israeli cyber security company Aqua Security raised $ 30 million in a fourth round of funding

Posted on May 20, 2020 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Israeli cyber security company Aqua Security raised $ 30 million in a fourth round of funding for Greenspring Associates and with Aqua's existing investors - Insight Partners, Lightspeed Ventures Partners and TLV Partners. The current investment brings Aqua's total funding to more than $ 130 million. The current fundraiser did not include two of the company's leading investors: Microsoft and Shlomo Kramer.
Dror Davidoff, CEO of Aqua Security, said, "We started raising money even before the Corona crisis, during February. March calls stopped and in April resumed and moved very quickly as we reached consensus. Despite the logistical difficulty - we were able to complete the recruitment. "
"We will not double the workforce, for now, but we will be cautious," he stressed. "We have grown to more than 400 customers and the pace has changed. We are growing rapidly. But when there is complete uncertainty - we must not be blind. "
Hunter Somerville, general partner at Greenspring Associates, believes Aqua has shown impressive achievements in building its customer base, and solidifying its position as a market leader in securing native cloud applications in cloud environments. "Even in today's challenging business environment, the company has seen strong revenue growth, and the ability to introduce new products that differentiate its offerings from its competitors. As organizations continue to aggressively migrate to the cloud, we see that Aqua is well positioned to benefit and support this transformation."
Aqua Sciuretti was founded in 2015 by Dror Davidoff and Amir Jervi, and provides security solutions based on Cloud Native, Container-based and Serverless applications from the development phase to the actual run. Aqua bridges the gaps between DevOps and information security teams to drive business processes and accelerate digital transformation. The company acquired Cloudsploit in November 2019, expanding its offerings in the Cloud Security Posture Management market and even launching its first SaaS solution.
