The fall in markets in March resulted in a 9% negative return on the mutual funds

Posted on Apr 26, 2020 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The fall in markets in March resulted in a 9% negative return on the mutual funds. The month of April appears to be positive, with so far the estimated correction in funds amounting to about 4%. That is, the accumulated losses in training funds are cumulatively estimated at about 5% - unpleasant, but over time, not terrible. This is a loss of about six months.
Harel's fundraising fund was "best" in March with a negative return of 8.25%. It is followed by a tower with a negative yield of 8.4% and Altshuler Shaham with a negative yield of 8.57%. In practice, most general education funds are linked to yields with returns of 8.6% to 9.25%. Last in the monthly rating - a lamp with a negative yield of 10%.
While the monthly rating is interesting and important to express investment management trends in the training funds, it is more important over time. Here, Altshuler Shaham and Willin Lapidot lead in the long ratings of 5 and 10 years. Since the beginning of the year, the Altshuler Fund has been leading with a negative return of less than 10%.
Training funds are a product with great benefits to savers. Holders receive a current tax benefit with the deposits into the fund and a large tax benefit in withdrawal (tax exempt).
