Kamtek, which develops and manufactures testing and measuring equipment for chip makers, has received an order for testing systems for $ 8 million. Orders have been received from a leading camera sensor manufacturer and will be delivered during the second and third quarters of 2020.
Kamtek, which is managed by Rafi Amit, received orders for 34 two-dimensional visual inspection systems for sensor components in cameras installed on smartphones in January 2020. The orders were received from five leading camera manufacturers for smartphones with two of them, apparently Samsung and Sony, responsible for 25 of the 34 systems ordered.
The value of the order received in January 2020 was estimated at $ 25 million. Camtek finished 2019 with a profit of $ 22 million and a turnover of $ 134 million, compared with a profit of $ 19 million in a turnover of $ 123 million in 2018. The company trades at a market value of $ 305 million after a 30% decline from early 2020 and at the stage of trading breach it up 7.6%
