Israel Post will pay National Social Security allowances using a MasterCard recharge card

Israel Post Company is launching  with the Social Security and Social Equity Ministry during which National Social Security allowances will be passed on to tens of thousands of senior citizens using a MasterCard recharge card, which will reach them at home free of charge.

The move, which has been approved by the Ministry of Communications, will allow veterans, some of whom are at risk population and currently unable to leave their homes, to receive the allowance. Ticket distribution will begin today and will continue in the coming days. It should also be noted that the post offices will be closed tomorrow and the public is requested not to arrive tomorrow. The claimed card that will be handed over to veteran pension recipients through the Postal Bank is a "pre-paid" card from MasterCard. Card issuance, delivery and recharge will be done at no cost and no fees.
