Sergeant Yonatan Aharon Greenblatt, 21 years old from Beit Shemesh, died yesterday (Saturday) of his wounds after he was seriously injured by an anti-tank missile in the building where he was staying in Rafah about a week ago.
Greenblatt, who served in the 52nd Battalion of the Iron Footprint Design, was the son of her father and Israela, a twin brother to Arel And the grandson of Rabbi Mordechai Greenblatt, the former head of the Or Etzion settlement and the founder and head of the Neve Dekalim yeshiva, his relative Eliav Turgeman eulogized him saying that he was a "child of light and power".
The Beit Shemesh municipality said that the mayor, its employees and elected representatives send their condolences to the family and hug them at this difficult time.
