Noble Energy today announced a halt in gas production

Noble Energy today announced a halt in gas production. "As part of the Leviatan rig's run process, the noon control system detected a low pressure warning in some of the rigs on the rig," the company statement said. Nobel Energy estimates that gas flow will resume tomorrow.
This is an unusual event, although Noble noted that this is a typical event at this stage. "In the process of running the rig, the operation of all the devices and installations on the rig is examined, and such pressure reduction is a common occurrence at these stages," the statement said.
The Leviatan reservoir, which began flowing gas last month, is 130 km off the coast of Israel, at a depth of 1,600 meters and the gas is discharged from the well located on the seabed via pipelines to the production rig, which is 10 km offshore.
