From March 1st EL AL pilots will also be required for the first time to undergo a security check

From March 1st EL AL pilots will also be required for the first time to undergo a security check, which reflects their personal dignity in Terminal 3 before boarding. Reason: Security Services directive.
So far, the pilots have been passing the inspection, at least formally, at El Al Airport in Ben Gurion Airport, a procedure that allowed them to be transported directly from the offices to the aircraft. Now they have to pass through the passenger hall like everyone else. From their home to the airport before the flight because the check-in process requires extra time.
Globally, according to international regulations, pilots must undergo inspection like the other passengers before entering the airspace that begins immediately after the terminal, that is the flight paths.
For years, Israeli authorities have been content with the existing El Al procedure regarding pilots, probably because 99% of El Al pilots are from the Air Force, but it has now been decided by the security services that their inspection and border inspection procedures are inadequate.
The pilot committee handled the new requirement with the airport authority, and the conclusion reached was that the pilots would have to undergo inspection like everyone else, but not really: the pilots would not have to queue with the other passengers. Their check-in will be done at the Arbel Lounge, the VIP lounge operated by the PA and designated by highly respected guests, or anyone who can pay for its services. The lounge offers a quick check-in and check-out service.
The new regulations were already scheduled to go into effect, but the Pilots Committee asked for more time to be organized, so they will only take effect in early March
