Half of the 4.3 million Israelis going abroad in 2019 have flown more than once, according to CBS data for the peak year in Israeli tourism. In total, there has been an 8% increase in Israeli departures abroad in the past year. It also shows that 2.2 million Israelis went abroad only once, and a total of 9.2 million Israelis went abroad during the year.
8.3 million Israelis departed by air (up 7%); 777,000 ports were on land (25% increase), while 499,000 of those ports were on Sinai (a sharp 31% increase). By sea (cruise), 91,000 ports were registered - a 52% jump. About a quarter of all departures abroad (2.4 million) were registered during the summer months (July-August).

Over the past decade, 3.6 million visitor arrivals per year averaged, and 3.2 million tourists a year on average. During the past year, there was a 35% increase in visitors and 41% in the number of tourists compared to the annual average of the decade.
Israelis have also flown more in the last decade. Since 2010 there has been a continuous increase (except 2012) in the number of departures abroad of Israelis. As of 2013, the number of Israelis departing abroad has increased by more than 8% per year, following the "open sky" agreement, which led to reduced flights according to seasonally adjusted data. In the last three months, October-December 2019, an average of 813,000 Israelis departed abroad per month, up from the previous three months, July-September 2019, with an average of 753,000 departures per month. Yesterday, the Ministry of Tourism reported an increase Of 10% in latches compared to the same period last year.
