The American House of Representatives voted this evening (Saturday) in favor of transferring the military aid package to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan, worth 95 billion dollars. Israel's share of the aid package is expected to reach $14 billion, which will be used, among other things, to renew the Iron Dome and David Sling missile defense systems, purchase of advanced weapons systems, and "improve the production and development of artillery and critical ammunition."
The aid package also includes a budget of $60 billion for Ukraine, and a budget of $8 billion for US allies in the Indo-Pacific region, including Taiwan. The aid proposal to Israel passed with a majority of 366 supporters against 58 opponents, including 37 Democrats and 21 Republicans. The proposal will now be approved by the Senate, and the President of the United States, Joe Biden, turned to his friends today and urged them to approve the aid as soon as possible.
