"Dan" driving cooperative signed a new collective agreement with 1,800 drivers guaranteeing their rights

The Federation of Transportation Employees Association and the bus company Dan on Thursday signed a new collective agreement for about 1,800 drivers, guaranteeing their rights with the entry of the new investor, which acquired part of the company.
The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Transport Workers Union, Avi Edri; Dan's CEO, Ofer Zilbiger; The file holder from the Transportation Workers Union, Doron Ezra; Chairman of the Dan Employees Committee, Yossi Kapiloto and Committee members.
The agreement essentially guarantees that all existing collective bargaining agreements in the company will continue to apply as the new investor enters, and will be obliged to respect and implement them. At the same time, it is stipulated that the validity of the existing collective agreement will be extended for one year until the end of 2023.
In addition, the agreement brings about a significant upgrading of the welfare and health conditions of the drivers, who make nights as a strenuous work for the well-being and safety of passengers. The agreement upgrades the workers 'health insurance clauses and stipulates that management will subsidize the workers' insurance costs almost fully. At the same time, it has been agreed that the company will increase by about NIS half a million by the end of 2023 the amount it spends in favor of welfare activities for employees, with emphasis on seminars and seminars.
The chairman of the Federation of Transportation Workers Association, Avi Edri, said in signing the agreement: "The Histadrut will continue to take care of bus drivers both in public and private transport. We will continue to focus mainly on the health and rest of the drivers who do hard and strenuous work and make sure to drive the Israeli public safely every day for an hour. "
CEO Dan Ofer Zilbiger: "The Dan Company, which has always worked to respect and maintain the status of drivers in the company, will continue to support and respect the collective labor agreement of the drivers sector in the company."
Chairman of the Dan Employees Committee Yossi Capilotto: "I welcome the fact that after a direct and fair negotiation between the workers' committee accompanied by the Histadrut and the Dan administration, we reached an outstanding agreement that will guarantee the rights of the drivers. We look forward to continuing the road and maintaining good working relations in Dan Even with the new owners. "
