Cellcom stops selling triple packages over the Hot Network

Posted on Dec 26, 2019 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Cellcom has decided to stop selling triple packages over the Hot Network, after being desperate for lack of intervention by the Communications Ministry regarding Hot's price policy. Cellcom has relatively few customers on Hot's network, and in the meantime it will continue to provide them with service, but new customers in the wholesale market will sell on Bezeq's network, or on IBC, wherever you can.
Cellcom recently decided to discontinue and market communications packages over Hot's network, after concluding that Hot has adopted a price policy that renders wholesale market prices economically unprofitable. Cellcom has repeatedly referred complaints to the Ministry of Communications that Hot sells Internet services at a lower price than the wholesale prices set by the firm, and the implication of such a pricing policy is that it does not have enough margin to make a profit.
Mahut said in response: "Hot has been operating and operating on a regular basis in accordance with the firm's decisions, including tariffs, investing and investing tremendous resources in launching the wholesale market and operating on the cable network. Unfortunately, as the article indicates, Cellcom announces the cessation of Hot Infrastructure Marketing. Interested in the bona fide implementation of the prescribed regulatory arrangements.
"In these circumstances, we expect that the Ministry of Communications will not allow service providers to continue to misuse and disregard regulatory provisions as a tool to counter competition. This was the case when Cellcom and Partner acted to delay the launch of 500 MB for Hot customers, and subsequently did not market the speeds, as well as On many other issues. "
The Ministry of Communications said: "The Ministry of Communications is currently dealing with the wholesale market issue of Hot, both the technology issues and the companies' claims to discriminate between the wholesale price and the retail price."
