Within a decade: Israeli exports soared about 70%. The most significant jump over the past decade has been the export of services, much of which is Israeli high-tech exports to the world.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Industry's Foreign Trade Administration, the past decade was good for Israeli exports, during which it grew by 68%. According to the Administration's forecasts, at the end of the year, Israeli exports will amount to $ 114 billion, which at the end of 2009 totaled $ 67.7 billion. In fulfillment of this forecast, Israeli exports are expected to break another record and grow by 4.5% compared to 2018 exports.
The most significant jump over the past decade has been the export of services, much of which is Israeli high-tech exports to the world. With a growth rate of more than 10% per year.
Over the past decade, exports to the Asian continent have increased, and Israeli exports to China have increased by more than 400% and 73% increase in exports of goods and services from Israel to Japan.
Exports to the UK have increased by 286% in the last decade, exports to Poland by 162% and exports to Turkey by 66%.
Significant growth has also been recorded in exports to Latin America, where there has been a 40% increase in a decade.
Meanwhile, in the past decade, 7 trade agreements have been signed or upgraded that significantly expand Israel's Free Trade Area agreements. Such agreements were signed, among others, with South Korea, Ukraine, Panama, Colombia and Canada. Foreign Trade Administration Director Ohad Cohen is currently negotiating similar agreements with China, Vietnam, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Guatemala, Kazakhstan and more.
"The government has set a target of crossing $ 120 billion in exports in 2020 and already in 2019 a new record of $ 114 billion has been set," said Minister of Economy and Industry Eli Cohen: "The international arena presents complex and difficult challenges for Israeli exporters. And thanks to dedicated economic aid programs, they manage to deal with these sites.
