Economy ministry helped 59 companies who employed disabled workers

Posted on Dec 7, 2019 by Ifi Reporter

The Ministry of Economy and Industry Investment Authority summarizes the dedicated path for integrating people with disabilities into the free market for 2019. These are people whose participation rate is lower than the general population's employment rate and there are quite a few concerns and barriers between employers and employees themselves to integrate into the free market.
The route is unique as it appeals to employers to open and absorb disabled people. In this trajectory, the incentive rate for employers is the employee's salary, which in the first year of employment represents 45% of the employee's salary, in the second year 33% and in the third year 22%.
The track also allows third-sector employers and licensed dealers to access it, provided it is a business activity. Employees can take up at least a third of their jobs. The salary kickbacks for employers are 36 months. Anyone who employs less than 5 employees is not required to submit financial statements and a full business plan. Applying for this aid route does not detract from the eligibility to access other investment authority routes at the same time.
For the five years of running the route (including 2019), the Investment Authority helped 59 companies take on full-time jobs for people with disabilities who will be employed in the free market, for a total grant of NIS 11.6 million.
The unique center of its kind in Israel is an innovative model when it comes to integrating people with disabilities into society. His various activities include workshops, a theater house, bustling performances and a "dark restaurant" that gives its guests an exceptional experience.
Dr. Nahum Itzkowitz, Director of the Investment Authority, noted: "The integration of people with disabilities into employment is an important social and economic action of the first degree. Benefits to people themselves and the economy are important to expand and include more and more people with disabilities in the world of employment and in various industries. The Investment Authority is making and making an effort to bring the issue into broad public awareness and thus motivate more employers to absorb more disabled people. "
