The October composite state-of-the-economy index rose by 0.3%
Posted on Nov 27, 2019 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski
The October composite state-of-the-economy index rose by 0.30%. The growth rate of the index reflects long-term growth with slight acceleration over the past two months. The combined index was favorably affected by an increase in all its components, in particular a rapid increase in consumer goods and goods exports in October, an increase in the vacancy rate that month after a continuous decline during the past year and an increase in industrial production and revenue indices in September. There were no real updates to the composite index for previous months (Table 1). Table 2 shows the development of the index components in recent months.
