The Company plans to concentrate the production of paper products in the new plant. For this purpose, the Company was allocated an area of 64 dunams in Gilboa. The company intends to employ about 450 workers in the innovative plant.

In 2015, Kimberly-Clark acquired full ownership of the company, which employs 1,200 workers in Israel. The establishment of the plant will take several years and will be the task of the newly appointed CEO - Tal Raban, former CEO of Tara.
In 2018, the global company was forced to cut 5,000 jobs, about 13% of its global workforce. Kimberly Israel has been criticized in the past for urgent increases in the prices of its paper products and a reduction in some of the packages, according to its claim, due to the sharp rise in global pulp prices and the raw material for the paper industry.
"We are constantly examining the expansion of business activity in Israel, but we do not respond to rumors regarding future business activity," said Kimberly Israel.
