PLAN was submited: 24,300 housing units in Beer Sheba

The Southern District Committee of the Planning Administration has submitted to the public objections the comprehensive outline plan for the Negev capital. At the heart of the plan, the addition of 24,300 housing units. After full implementation of urban renewal procedures in the heart of the city. Today there are about 208,000 residents in the city, and the real forecast of the planning team is that the city will reach 280,000 residents. However, if the rights included in the plan are exhausted, the city will be able to accommodate 374,000 residents. The plan also includes 4.5 million square meters for employment, commerce and office space, and 3.9 million square meters for industry and tourist areas. The plan also includes the construction of a new central hospital in the Negev at the eastern entrance to the city.
