M-Challenge Launches AI-Powered Cybersecurity Platform for Small Businesses

Israeli technology company M-Challenge, which specializes in computing, cloud services and cybersecurity, has developed a new artificial intelligence-powered monitoring platform designed to help small and medium-sized businesses detect cyber threats and identify security vulnerabilities.

The development of the company's MCS platform took approximately 10 months and involved an estimated investment of NIS 1 million.

The investment included software development, management and professional teams, computing infrastructure and servers, research, testing, integrations, system customization and operational costs accumulated during the development period.

Cyber Threats Are Noא Limited to Large Corporations

Cyberattacks are increasingly affecting organizations of all sizes. Small businesses with only a few dozen employees may hold sensitive business information, corporate email accounts, cloud applications, customer data, financial systems and files that can make them attractive targets for attackers.

MCS was developed with the goal of narrowing the gap between the growing sophistication of cyber threats and the financial and operational limitations faced by small and medium-sized businesses.

Rather than requiring organizations to operate multiple security systems independently, the platform is designed to consolidate information from different sources and provide a unified picture of an organization's exposure and security risks.

Monitoring Multiple Security Indicators

According to M-Challenge, MCS monitors a broad range of security indicators, including:

• Unusual login attempts
• Users without multi-factor authentication
• Suspicious changes to email accounts
• Email forwarding rules
• File-sharing activity
• Internet-exposed services and ports
• SSL certificates
• Appearances on blocklists
• The use of artificial intelligence tools
• Alerts generated by endpoint protection systems

The platform also continuously analyzes an organization's security posture, allowing changes, vulnerabilities and unusual activity to be identified over time.

Reducing Alert Fatigue

One of the central principles behind the development of MCS was to reduce the volume of alerts that do not require immediate action and instead prioritize events that may have meaningful security implications.

“Cyberattacks have long ceased to be a problem reserved for large organizations,” said Ariel Marom, founder and CEO of M-Challenge.

“A business with 20 or 30 employees may already have Microsoft 365 or Google accounts, sensitive information, cloud systems and files that could be extremely valuable to attackers.”

Marom added that small businesses need actionable information rather than an overwhelming stream of notifications.

“They don't need to receive 100 alerts a day. They need to know when there is a real problem, what the level of risk is and what needs to be done now,” he said.

AI Used for Analysis and Prioritization

MCS incorporates artificial intelligence capabilities to analyze security information, identify patterns and assist in prioritizing incidents.

The objective is to enable cybersecurity teams — including teams with limited resources — to concentrate their attention on incidents that require investigation or intervention.

The company says the platform is designed to combine information from multiple security sources while presenting the findings in a way that can be more accessible to smaller organizations without dedicated security operations teams.

Pricing Starts at NIS 1,490 Per Month

M-Challenge says the MCS service will be offered to small and medium-sized companies at prices starting at NIS 1,490 plus VAT per month.

The pricing model is intended to make continuous security monitoring more accessible to businesses that may not be able to justify the cost of maintaining several separate cybersecurity products and a dedicated security team.

M-Challenge Plans Further Expansion

M-Challenge has operated in the computing, cloud and information-security services sector since 2007.

The company plans to expand MCS during the coming year by connecting additional information sources and introducing further automation, monitoring and response capabilities.

The development reflects a broader shift in cybersecurity: as cloud services, remote work and digital business systems become standard even among smaller companies, cybersecurity providers are increasingly seeking ways to deliver enterprise-level monitoring and analysis to organizations with more limited budgets and technical resources.

For small businesses, the challenge is no longer simply whether they have cybersecurity protection, but whether they can identify the most important risks quickly enough to respond before a security incident becomes a major business disruption.
