Posted on Mar 2, 2024 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

In recent days, families of abductees and thousands of supporters converged on Jerusalem, culminating in a large rally calling for the return of the abducted individuals. The demonstration, titled "Unity Rally," took place in Paris Square, with hundreds in attendance. During the event, families of the abductees addressed the crowd.

Sigi Cohen, mother of abducted individual Elia Cohen, expressed her longing for her son's return, emphasizing the unity of the nation of Israel in facing adversity. She highlighted the tireless efforts of soldiers and urged unity among supporters.

Simultaneously, some families and protesters blocked Derech Begin in front of the Kirya in Tel Aviv. This action aimed to draw attention to the plight of the abductees and garner support for their safe return.

Throughout the day, thousands marched towards Jerusalem, with Roni Ader, sister of Tamir Ader, whose body remains in captivity, thanking supporters for their solidarity. She emphasized the universality of the issue, stating that what happened to her family could have occurred in any household in the country.

Clara Marman and Gabriela Leimberg, both released from captivity after significant periods, along with Fernando Marman, who was rescued after over four months in captivity, spearheaded the march. Clara conveyed the pain and suffering endured by those in captivity and encouraged continued perseverance in the fight for their return.

The rallying cry echoed hope, unity, and determination, with a shared commitment to bringing back all those affected, regardless of gender or status. The collective resolve of the Israeli people was evident, promising unwavering support until every individual is safely returned.
