"Partner Secures Dominant Position in Government Communication Tender, Avi Gabai at the Helm"

Posted on Jan 31, 2024 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

In a recent development, Partner, under the leadership of Avi Gabai, and Cellcom, managed by Daniel Sapir, emerged victorious in the tender issued by the Accountant General of the Ministry of Finance for the supply of wired communication services to government offices. Partner secured the top position, claiming approximately 70% of the tender share, while Cellcom secured the second spot with a 30% share. This marks a shift from the previous tender, where Partner held 85%, and Cellcom had 15%.

The estimated value of the tender ranges between NIS 15-20 million for the initial four years, with an option for a six-year extension. Partner will predominantly provide services, encompassing telephony, information security, call routing, backups, and more to government offices. Notably, Partner has been the longstanding communication lines provider for government ministries over the past decade.

In its financial performance for the third quarter of 2023, Partner recorded a commendable 10% increase in net profit, reaching NIS 56 million. The company's report highlights its dominant position in the market, with 81% of its subscribers (353 thousand customers) being fiber subscribers. This achievement solidifies Partner's status as the leading company in Israel with the highest number of fiber subscribers by the end of the third quarter of 2023.

Additionally, Partner's financial report reveals a historic low in the company's financial debt, totaling NIS 468 million. This financial milestone underscores Partner's strategic financial management, contributing to its robust position in the market. As the company looks ahead, the tender success positions Partner to continue its role as a key player in providing communication services to government entities for the foreseeable future.
