About a week into the new year, Forbes Magazine has unveiled the latest rankings of Israel's wealthiest individuals, showcasing notable financial movements and gains in the first weeks of 2024. Miriam Adelson, a prominent figure in the Israeli business landscape, takes the lead this week with substantial profits, largely attributed to a groundbreaking deal to acquire the Dallas Mavericks for a staggering $3.5 billion.

The richest woman in Israel, Adelson's personal wealth stands at an impressive $33.2 billion, despite slipping one place to 44th in the global ranking. This week alone, she secured profits worth $199 million, solidifying her position at the pinnacle of Israel's economic elite.

In second place is Eyal Ofer, who has been steadily ascending in the rankings. With a weekly profit of $17 million, Ofer's fortune now amounts to $21.6 billion, placing him at the 85th spot in the worldwide list of the wealthiest people. Following closely is Idan Ofer, Eyal's younger brother, who notches a modest profit of $3 million, propelling him seven places to the 114th position with a total wealth of $15.3 billion.

The Israeli-Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich maintains his fourth position with a fortune of $9 billion, registering a slight profit of $0.08 million. However, he slides two places to 259th globally. Rounding up the top five are the Buchman brothers, Dimitri and Igor, who see a profit of $1 million, bringing their combined wealth to $6.8 billion and a descent to the 385th place worldwide.

Notably close in wealth to the Buchman brothers is the philanthropist Yuri Milner, with an estimated fortune of $6.8 billion, holding steady at the 403rd position. The seventh spot is secured by Steph Wertheimer, maintaining his 438th place for the second consecutive week, with an unaltered personal fortune of $6.3 billion.

These rankings provide a glimpse into the dynamic landscape of Israel's wealthiest individuals, showcasing their financial movements and global standing in the early weeks of 2024.
