Kalil Industries Reports Strong Third Quarter Performance Despite war Challenges

Posted on Nov 27, 2023 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

Kalil Industries, a leading player in the industry, released its financial report for the third quarter of 2023, showcasing robust financial performance in the face of economic challenges and external disruptions.

In the third quarter of 2023, Kalil Industries demonstrated resilience as its gross profit soared by approximately 1, with the gross profit rate reaching 21.9% of revenues, a notable increase from the 17% reported in the corresponding quarter last year. This impressive improvement in gross profit was primarily attributed to a decrease in the cost of raw materials compared to inventory prices from the previous year.

Operating profit almost doubled, reaching approximately 10.1 million shekels, compared to 5.6 million shekels in the same quarter of the previous year. The operating profit rate rose to approximately 10.1% of revenues, up from 5.2% in the corresponding quarter last year. The increase was attributed to a rise in gross profit and a reduction in sales and marketing expenses.

Net profit for the third quarter of 2023 climbed by about 60% to NIS 7.5 million, reflecting the company's effective management of costs and operational efficiency. Revenues, however, experienced a decrease in the first nine months of 2023, amounting to NIS 301 million compared to NIS 357.5 million in the corresponding period last year, influenced by both lower selling prices and a decrease in quantity sold.

Despite the decrease in revenues, the gross profit for the first nine months of 2023 amounted to NIS 58 million, with a gross profit rate of 19.3% of revenues. The operating profit for the same period was NIS 20.8 million, with an operating profit rate of 6.9% of revenues, showcasing the company's ability to maintain profitability even in challenging market conditions.

The company's Chairman, Tzuri Dabush, acknowledged the impact of the 'Iron Swords' war in the State of Israel, expressing appreciation for the dedication of employees, customers, suppliers, and their families during these difficult times. Dabush highlighted ongoing investments in the development of a groundbreaking window system, advertising, and support for affected employees.
