American public company Dynatrace revealed its acquisition of the Israeli start-up Rookout. The purchase, whose exact amount remains undisclosed in the notice published last night, is estimated to be around $50 million. The deal is expected to be finalized by September 30.

Rookout, founded in 2017 by Or Weiss and Liran Chaimovich, specializes in developing cutting-edge software that allows developers to identify bugs in code (debugging) in cloud environments while applications are running. The company has been at the forefront of providing crucial debugging solutions, enhancing developers' capabilities in the cloud domain. Since its inception, Rookout has grown substantially, employing 47 individuals who have contributed significantly to the success and growth of the organization.

Following the acquisition, Or Weiss, who left the company in 2020, is currently leading another startup. On the other hand, Liran Chaimovich continues to serve as Rookout's CTO, contributing his technical expertise and vision to the company. Since 2020, the company has been led by CEO Shahar Fogel, who has played an instrumental role in guiding Rookout towards its present success.

Dynatrace, the acquiring company, is a prominent player in performance management, application monitoring, development processes, and security solutions. The company's offerings are designed to assist its clients in monitoring, managing, and optimizing digital channels and applications from the perspective of end-users, enhancing the overall user experience.

With this acquisition, Dynatrace aims to incorporate Rookout's advanced debugging technology into its suite of services, further empowering developers with enhanced capabilities in cloud debugging. As part of the acquisition agreement, Rookout will continue to operate in Israel under the name of Dynatrace, serving as a key center for the company's activities.

This strategic move by Dynatrace showcases its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction by integrating Rookout's expertise and technologies into its portfolio. The acquisition is expected to create exciting opportunities for both companies and pave the way for future growth in the dynamic tech industry.
