Klil and ORT Marom Acre Celebrate 14 Years of Transformative Partnership

Posted on May 29, 2025 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

In a heartwarming culmination of a long-standing partnership between Klil Aluminum and ORT Marom Acre School, a festive exhibition marked the closing of the latest cycle in a project that has been running successfully for 14 years. The program, which merges industry, education, and community service, gives students practical experience while providing real-world help to disadvantaged families in the city of Acre.

As part of the initiative, Klil donates aluminum profiles, accessories, and professional equipment, while also offering comprehensive technical training to the students. Throughout the school year, Kalil’s expert teams guide the students through the entire production process — from planning to manufacturing — culminating in the creation of finished, high-quality windows.

Real Skills with Real Impact

In a unique hands-on format, students manufacture, replace, and install windows themselves. These completed windows are then installed in the homes of needy families in Acre, closing a circle of values that benefits everyone involved:

  • Klil donates expertise and materials

  • Students gain real-world skills and confidence

  • Local families enjoy improved living conditions

Honoring a Visionary Partnership

At the project's closing ceremony, Acre Mayor Amichai Ben-Chelush presented a special certificate of appreciation to Zuri Dabush, Chairman of Klil, recognizing his unwavering support for the initiative and his significant role in advancing technological education in the city. The event celebrated Kalil’s leadership in forging meaningful connections between the industrial sector, educational institutions, and the local community.

Voices of Impact

Anat Rubo, principal of ORT Marom Acre, praised the program’s influence:

“The collaboration with Kalil gives our students a rare opportunity to experience the world of work, learn from leading professionals, and give back to the community. The program gives them self-confidence, values, and life skills.”

Kalil Chairman Zuri Dabush emphasized the company’s long-term vision:

“The connection with the younger generation and the combination of professional values with social contribution are a central part of Kalil’s vision. We are proud to see the students grow, develop, and contribute to the city of Acre.”

A Model for Industry-Education Collaboration

The Kalil–ORT Marom Acre initiative is more than just an educational program — it’s a blueprint for how industry can meaningfully engage with and uplift its surrounding community. With continued support, it promises to leave a lasting legacy of empowerment, opportunity, and social impact.
