Spire Capital Partners acquires the Israeli cyber intelligence company Cobwebs Technologies for about 200 million dollars

Posted on Jul 11, 2023 by Ifi Reporter

Spire Capital Partners - an American private equity fund - acquires the Israeli cyber intelligence company Cobwebs Technologies for about 200 million dollars. The company develops cyber intelligence solutions for enforcement bodies, national security and financial services around the world - and mainly in the US and Western Europe. Its revenues are estimated at tens of millions of dollars.
Covewebs was founded in 2015 by Omari Timianker, Udi Levy and Shay Atias, veterans of special units. The platform they built enables advanced search capabilities and real-time alerts on relevant information. The company is currently considered a leader in its field, also thanks to investment in AI developments already in the first years, and in the field of digital intelligence. The company employs 170 people and has so far raised about ten million dollars, so most of the exit funds will go to the company's founders.
This strategic purchase complements the existing portfolio of Spire Capital Partners, which includes the American company Penlink which deals with intelligence analysis based on digital evidence.
"The exponential growth in the amount of data, and the development of AI technologies and secure cloud services, drive the growing need for quality analysis of information," Udi Levy, the company's CEO and co-founder, explained to Calcalist.
