The company Stream Elements (Stream Elements), which deals in the monetization of online content, is laying off 40 employees, which is 20% of the company's workforce. Most of the fired are not in Israel. This is the company's second round of layoffs, after last June it fired about 50 employees.
Stream Elements was founded in 2017 by Or Perry, Doron Nir, Gil Hirsch (the CEO) and Ram Sherman and it develops tools in the field of production, alerts, chatbots, online stores and tips in order to increase engagement, audience management and revenue generation for content creators Streaming. Today the company employs about 230 people. In September 2021, the company raised $100 million led by Softbank's Vision 2 Fund.
The company stated: "Aside from the growth experienced by the company this year, the continued slowdown in the advertising market and content creators has not escaped us either. We anticipate a further decrease in the scope of our growth this year, and therefore we are reorganizing with the aim of continuing to grow while building a path to profitability. Unfortunately, this plan also includes layoffs, that we appreciate their great contribution to society."
