Clal Insurance becomes the first institutional body, and for the time being the only one, to invest in the digital bank of Nir Tzuk esh.
Clal, which is a company without the idea of control, agreed to invest NIS 100 million in exchange for 5% of the shares of the group that includes the digital bank "Bank Ash Israel" and the technology company alongside it. Last week the bank received the license of the Bank of Israel to establish and manage a new digital bank in addition to that of Amnon Shashua. The CEO of the bank is Yuval Aloni and the chairman is Shmuel Hauser, former chairman of the Securities Authority.
The investment is made according to a value of NIS 1.7 billion before money. The bank had a road show about a year ago and is currently the only entity that agreed to invest in the requested amount. It should be noted that all the other institutions refused to invest in the values in question. Barak Bansky, director of investments at Amiti Kal, said that they generally believe that the investment will produce a return in excess of the alternatives for Amiti Kal. The transaction was accompanied by Active Underwriting under the management of Omri Levy.
