The maximum price per liter of 95 gasoline will rise in November to 6.46 shekels per liter (including VAT), an increase of 9 shekels from the previous update. The surcharge for self-service will be 21 shekels per liter, unchanged from the previous months.
Due to the sabbath due to the elections that will be held on November 1, the fuel price will be updated on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, November 2, and not at the beginning of the month.
The excise tax decreased last month from NIS 2.62 per liter to NIS 2.42 per liter, in accordance with the decree signed by the Minister of Finance in August in light of the significant increase in fuel prices worldwide with the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. During the month, the excise tax will be examined again.
The price of fuel is determined by the director of fuel and gas at the Ministry of Energy and is updated once a month according to the fuel prices in the Mediterranean basin, marketing expenses which include the cost of transporting the fuel to the stations, the excise tax set by the Ministry of Finance as a fixed price per liter, VAT and the exchange rate.
