Gad Dairies will raise prices after Sukkot holiday by up to 9.5%

Gad Dairies will raise prices after Sukkot by up to 9.5%. Gad Dairies, owned by the Green Lantern Foundation headed by Richie Hunter and founder Ezra Cohen, explained to the retailers the decision to raise prices at a rate double the increase in the prices of dairy products under supervision last month, due to the increase in the cost of raw materials, packaging and transportation.
Gad Dairies stated: "The drastic price increases in Israel and in the world do not spare us either and affect a variety of areas: the raw materials, the various packaging factors, the production inputs, the import prices and above all - the sharp increases in the price of raw milk, which has risen by 24% in the last two years alone." The company added and claimed: "In the entire last decade, we raised prices only once (in 2018), but now we have no choice but to update the price list in order to only partially minimize the increases that we have been experiencing for a long time."
As part of the move, the dairy's cream cheeses will become more expensive by 8-9%, special cheeses such as cheddar, gouda and blue cheese, tofu and fresh Nona brand pastas by 9.5%.
Gad's step was registered after only the Terra Dairy of the central company (Coca Cola Israel), raised the prices of all the milk products produced by it, they received the approval of the Ministry of Finance to update the prices of the milk products under supervision. Tnuva and Strauss have so far not acted to change the prices of their products. Now the retailers will be asked to decide whether to approve Gad's demand or oppose it, as they did with the diplomat's demand in recent months.
Immediately after the holiday, the prices of Diplomat products are expected to rise, which postponed the price increase after the holiday, and Unilever, which announced last month the price increase of its products, with the first of them - Karambo - becoming more expensive already at the beginning of the month, and the company supplies it only to chains that approved the price increase, such as Yohannoff and Victory, while Shufersel did not approved and does not market the product.
