The Strauss company is conducting a renewed recall of the company's products and asking the public not to buy some of the popular products such as "Pesek Zman", "Tortit" and "Kif-Kef".
The products, coated with Elite milk chocolate, arrived in the last two days at the points of sale by mistake, as these are products that were included in the Strauss company's salmonella recall. It is not clear why they have not been destroyed yet.
According to the company, the products returned from the recall were destroyed. Products that were stored in the warehouse and remained there for testing remained in her possession. Recently, a sorting process was carried out and in an error of judgment the products were released for sale even though they were blocked.
Most of the products only arrived yesterday at the marketing chains and other points of sale and some of them have not yet hit the shelves. One way or another, it seems that the management problem in the factories that were at the center of the salmonella infection in the company has not been solved. The chocolate factory and candy factory were closed in May and have not yet returned to regular operations since then.
The products that entered the market expired between September and December 2022. According to the company, only about 30 units were sold to consumers and the products are being collected from the shelves.
Strauss said: "Due to a human error at the end of the process of destroying the recalled products, a limited amount of Elite waffle cookies were distributed in the last two days to individual points of sale. The company is currently working to remove the products from the shelves. Those who purchased these products are asked not to consume them and are invited to contact the Strauss consumer service center at *6860. We apologize to the customers for the mistake. All other Elite sweets on the shelves are safe for consumption."
