The average net salary in the economy last June was NIS 8,292.11, according to data from the Banking Clearing Center company published on Sunday. It also shows that during the month the volume of wage payments in the Israeli economy reached a new record and the net wage transferred to workers in the economy reached a total of NIS 30.632 billion.

This is a figure that is 7.74% higher than the previous record in March 2022 and stood at NIS 28.431 billion. The volume of net wages paid in June 2022 is 10.02% larger than the volume of wages paid in June 2021 and stood at NIS 27.841 billion. In June 2019, before the corona crisis, net wage payments totaling NIS 26.989 billion were transferred. MSB's VP Eitan Mizrotsky noted that "the June 2022 net salary data is particularly high because of the plan to grant an additional credit point and because of the payment of the convalescence allowance."
As stated, the Bank Clearing Center attributes the volume of high net salary payments in June 2022 to two parameters that affected - the government plan approved by the Knesset for which every Israeli citizen is entitled to an additional tax credit for each child aged 6 to 12 and the fact that the June salary is also paid In most of the economy. MSAB data also show that the volume of employment in the Israeli economy in June 2022 was also high and stood at 3.694 million salary recipients. This is the second highest figure recorded in the systems. In January this year, the number of salary recipients was 3.726 million. 2022 is 5.7% higher than in June 2021, when the number was 3.495 million, and in June 2019, before the corona, the number of salary recipients was 3.487 million.
