Elbit Systems, led by Muddy Machlis, announced today (Wednesday) that it has won a $ 220 million contract to supply precision air-guided guidance kits to the Asian Pacific country. The contract will be executed over a period of 15 months.
Under the contract, Elbit Systems will provide the Lizard kits for precise guidance for general air combat commanders. The LaserD is a precision laser-based guidance kit that allows general aerial warheads, in Western and Eastern versions, to attack with great precision, including fast-moving targets. The laser kit includes a laser domestication head, a computer and steering wings as well as a stabilizing tail.
Bezalel (Muddy) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems, said: "There is a growing demand for our accurate firing capabilities in light of the fact that accuracy has become an operational necessity in all dimensions of combat. "Armies around the world demand solutions that enable the effective conversion of ammunition into the capability relevant to the modern battlefield, especially in light of the lessons learned from recent military conflicts."
