Israel and Egypt have agreed to expand flights from Ben Gurion Airport to the city of Sharm el-Sheikh

Israel and Egypt have agreed on a security outline that will allow the expansion of direct flights between the countries, and following the agreements, a new airport will soon be inaugurated from Ben Gurion Airport to the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The issue of flights to Sharm el-Sheikh arose during the previous government. The Egyptians are the ones who sought to advance the issue to help tourism in the city. Following the inauguration of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, the issue arose in a meeting between him and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, held in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh last September.

In recent days, an agreement has been reached between the two countries, which was agreed yesterday in Egypt by an Israeli delegation led by the General Security Service. The Prime Minister's Office said that the agreement was formulated after the work of the General Security Service (GSS) in cooperation with the National Security Staff (National Security Council) and other bodies with the Egyptian government, to formulate a security outline that would allow the flight.
Bennett's office said that the line from Ben Gurion Airport to the city of Sharm el-Sheikh will soon be inaugurated and flights there are expected to start as early as next month, during the week of Passover.
"This is another step in heating up the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt. Cooperation between the two countries is expanding in many areas, and it contributes to both peoples and the stability of the region. Israel is opening up to the countries of the region, and the basis for this long-standing recognition Invest in strengthening this relationship, and that is what we are doing, "Prime Minister Bennett said in a statement.
