Agreed: Each assistant in kindergartens who will be employed 5 days during the Passover holiday will get a grant

The Histadrut has reached an agreement with the local government center, the center of the regional councils and the three major cities, according to which each assistant  in kindergartens who is employed for five days during the Passover holiday and the spring break will receive a NIS 2,000 grant in addition to her or his salary. This, in accordance with a joint announcement issued today (Wednesday) by the Histadrut and the local government center.
The amount will be given to an assistant who will work for five days between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. An assistant who works beyond 13:30 will receive an additional amount for each hour of work, in addition to what is stipulated in the employment agreements. An assistant who works part-time these days will receive a proportionate share of the additional grant.
"Kindergarten assistants do sacred work all year round in educating all of our children, in difficult conditions of manpower shortage and an increasing burden on their shoulders," said Histadrut chairman Arnon Bar-David. In the form of a special grant for their dedicated work on Passover, while the kindergarten teachers are on leave. This is just the beginning of the road to comprehensive reform in the field. We will continue to work for all the workers in the economy. "
