Israel will not allow private jets of Russian Billionaires to be parked in Israeli airports

Posted on Mar 5, 2022 by Ifi Reporter - Dan Bielski

The government has ordered the Airports Authority (IAA) not to allow private jets of Russian Bilionaraires to be parked in Israel for more than 48 hours, TheMarker has learned.
The government also ordered a long mooring of foreign yachts. The purpose of the measures is not to allow a place of refuge in Israel for private planes and yachts used by Russia's rich.
However, Israel does not prevent private planes coming from Russia from continuing to land in Israel. This is because Russian citizens cannot be prevented from entering the country with a tourist visa.
Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, several private planes have arrived at Ben Gurion Airport that came from Russia or Western Europe and are used by Russian oligarchs.
