The Israeli insurance companies are assisting insured clients who are in danger in Ukraine

Posted on Feb 27, 2022 by Ifi Reporter

The Israeli insurance companies that deal with passenger insurance have taken an extraordinary step to extend assistance to their insured and other Israelis who are in danger as a result of the Hrubish invasion of Ukraine.
The first to respond was Harel Insurance, which sent a rescue team to the Ukrainian border over the weekend in an attempt to rescue its insureds. The company has also published emergency numbers that its insureds who are in an unsafe area can contact.
Harel has published the following telephone numbers for contact: 03-7547030, or by sending a WhatsApp message to 052-754-4589.
One of the members of the rescue team, Lior Lifshitz, said: "We came here because the severity of the events did not allow us to wait for the insureds' inquiries, so we wanted to get there as soon as possible.
In light of the complexity, communication problems and expected transportation we decided to promote a rescue team to the border line. If there are any of our insureds within Ukraine who are in distress and need assistance in getting out of the country, they can contact us immediately at the phone numbers we have published.
Harel insures 200 Israeli students studying in Ukraine. We assume that most of them have already returned to Israel but we are trying to contact them to see if anyone is still in Ukraine and needs help. Due to communication problems our starting point is that there are insureds who do not have difficulty making contact. "There is one incident in which we have already assisted in a number of incidents of expelling Israelis from Ukraine, and to our joy, they ended in peace."
