The Mobilion Foundation and the Afifi Group from Nazareth have agreed on a collaboration in which the group will implement smart solutions in the vehicle fleet and thus help accelerate the arrival of Israeli startups on their way to the local and global market, after working together with the Afifi Group's automotive division. .
The Afifi Group started as a family business in 1927, and became a corporation with over 20 companies and about 2,500 employees. The group's extensive activities take place both in Israel and around the world, and are divided into four divisions: the Transportation and Logistics Division which includes five public transport companies and over 1250 buses, the Tourism and Hospitality Division which includes three tourism companies in Israel and around the world and two hotels in Nazareth and Jerusalem. And investments.
Mobilion Ventures was founded by Avi Feldman, Eyal Zabida, Idan Katz and Gail Write. Among the investors in the fund are the Mitsubishi carmaker, Nexus and the Delphi spare parts giant. The fund has invested in and promotes Israeli startups, including Algolion, which deals with the risk of lithium batteries igniting in electric vehicles by identifying in advance and alerting to the expected danger several days in advance, a period of time that allows the problem to be treated professionally. The startup Ride Vision deals with motorcycle accidents using a 360-degree perimeter camera system that alerts a motorcyclist of dangers and allows him to respond in real time. Siliv, which is developing technology for the use of clean silicone for lithium batteries and allows the travel range to be increased by 40% while maintaining the size of the battery. And the "Click Ines" startup, which is developing an artificial intelligence-based system that enables, among other things, documenting damage to vehicles and identifying attempts to defraud insurance companies.
Avi Feldman, Managing Partner at Mobilion Foundation: "We see public transportation companies as companies that allow flexibility in selecting and implementing innovative technological solutions and as companies with significant influence in the automotive fleet world and able to test technologies in the field better than any other user. To adopt solutions as quickly as possible that create real value for the field of transportation, as a leading and innovative service "
Ala Afifi, the group's business development manager: "We believe that the connection with Mobilion will serve the group on a variety of strategic levels and allow it to be exposed to the world's leading developments and technologies, which will enable technology and innovation from the world of mobility and lead the group to the technological stage."
