Bank of Israel presents a bill worth NIS 20 from the printing year 2021

The Bank of Israel wishes to inform the public that in the coming days, for the first time, a bill worth NIS 20 from the printing year 2021, bearing the signature of the current Governor, Prof. Amir Yaron, will be distributed to the public.
The new change comes in accordance with the provisions of section 42 (a) of the Bank of Israel Law, 5769-2010, which stipulates that banknotes issued to the public will bear the signature of the Governor of the Bank of Israel. And which will continue to be in effect.
The NIS 20 bill joins the NIS 100 and NIS 200 bills that bear the signature of the governor, Prof. Amir Yaron, and went into circulation last year. In addition, the Bank of Israel will announce in the future the commencement of the distribution of a note worth 50 shekels, which will also bear the signature of the Governor, Prof. Amir Yaron.
The note will be distributed to the public through the cash registers of the commercial banks, the automatic cash withdrawal devices and the branches of the Israel Postal Company.
