The Ministry of Finance succumbed to the pressures of the self-employed and decided to compensate the self-employed for isolation days starting last July. In other words, a self-employed person who has been in isolation since last July will be able to apply for Social Security and he will receive compensation of NIS 430 per day for a maximum of 3 days. For the period of the omicron eruption, the self-employed will receive an additional NIS 430, meaning they will receive compensation for 4 days of isolation.
As for employees in the Ministry of Finance, they intend to transfer compensation for an additional day of isolation by a temporary order. The employer receives compensation from the Treasury of 5
Sources in the Ministry of Finance also said that the data of the Israeli economy for 2021 are excellent and that this is a return to the unemployment levels that existed in pre-Corona Israel - that is, almost full employment. The growth has reached about 7% and that is excellent. Sources claim that at present there is no fear that such a large number of infected people will disable the economy and that there is in fact no need for housing due to the fact that the government's decision is to "live alongside the corona".
0% if it is a large business (which employs more than 75 employees) and 75% if it is a small business, ie it employs less than 75 employees.
All in all, today the Treasury decided on compensation for the self-employed whose issue of compensation was not settled during the isolation period. The compensation is determined according to what is customary in the state's emergency compensation fund, which stands at NIS 430 per day for a maximum of 4 days, which should make it easier for those who need to be in isolation to maintain it.
