About 150,000 hikers took advantage of the sunny Sabbath, spending time in parks, national parks and nature reserves. This is despite the morbidity records in Corona that have been recorded in recent days in the country, which last night reached almost 12,000 verified. Heavy traffic and congestion were recorded in the Nahal Maarot Nature Reserve on Mount Carmel, Gamla in the Golan Heights, and Arbel above the Sea of Galilee. Many visitors also came to Mount Hermon, where the snow piled up.
The loads were not only recorded in parks and nature reserves. In the big cities, too, there was a lively movement of citizens who took advantage of the sunny weather for recreation, despite reports of an increase in morbidity in Corona. Passers-by reported full occupancy in restaurants and cafes, as well as in various entertainment venues.
"About 5,000 hikers came to the Yarkon Tel Afek National Park on Saturday. About 2,000 of them visited the Yarkon National Park equipped with boots and hiking boots for the mud walk," said Adar Stolro, a community officer in the Central District of the Nature and Parks Authority. "Along the way, hikers met guides at information stations deployed along the route, explaining the lush Yarkon springs that formed a large, swampy swamp after several rainy days, the past landscapes and the species of birds in the area."
Among the prominent sites of the Nature Authority and the parks where loads were recorded are: Yarkon Tel Afek National Park with about 5,000 visitors, Caesarea National Park with about 3,200 visitors, Migdal Tzedek National Park and the Banias Nature Reserve with about 2,800 visitors at each of the sites.
